Mama Lola isn't just a name. She's my grandmother.
A simple, warm woman, with hands always busy—kneading cozonac one moment, simmering a stew in a black cast-iron pot the next. She taught me that good food isn't made in a hurry and that true flavor comes from patience, love, and simple things: an onion slowly caramelized, a carefully sealed jar, a heartfelt "bless your meal."
Out of respect for her, for my village, for my childhood, I started Mama Lola – a place where tradition comes alive in jars. We cook with care, using only Romanian ingredients from local farmers.
We use cast-iron pots, stovetops, a solar-powered electric oven, and our products are naturally pasteurized, without preservatives, without chemicals.
Everything starts in Negrași, a village with clean air and many stories. This is where we grow our vegetables, where we prepare our food, where our child laughs in the garden while we stir the cauldron. And from here, carefully sealed in jars, comes that taste that makes you say: "Just like grandma used to make."
A Countryside Treat.
It's not just a slogan. It's our promise that every jar comes with a story, a purpose, and a touch of Romanian soul.
Sincerely,
Răzvan, Mama Lola's grandson
